exsequarI finished watching SPN 4x01 about 15 minutes ago and I AM STILL FLAPPING MY HANDS AND GRINNING LIKE AN IDIOT.
ANGELS!!!!!!!!!
I hadn't ever consciously manifested a desire for SPN to go the route of angels, but now that it's happened, I'm like YES YES EXACTLY THAT HOMG. First of all, I totally have a wing kink, okay. When Castiel (hnnnnnngh) showed us a glimpse of his wings, I was all making high pitched noises into my fists. And and. Okay, let's be honest, Castiel is REALLY FUCKING PRETTY. (Also familiar... shotofjack says his name is Misha Collins, and IMDB tells me he was on... Charmed. Once. My memory for faces is FREAKY.) And he has a gorgeous aura of gravitas and intensity and both warmth and distance. He's fascinating. I really really hope he's around a lot this season.

The warehouse covered with the symbols was awesome. Sam using his POWERS was like HOMG!!!!!! That was another squeal and flap moment. SAMMY!!! And keeping it secret from Dean?! Dangerous road there, love!
One thing that I'm curious about - if new!Ruby was able to create a ruse (i.e. taking off her jeans and pretending not to know Dean), did she know Dean was coming? And if so, did SAM? Because Sam totally played along with her pretending to be just some girl. He also accepted that Dean wasn't a demon super fast. Curious!
In conclusion, WHEE YAY MY SHOW IS BAAAACK.
Oh, one small piece of discomfort - did anyone else get kind of squirmy and uncomfortable when Dean SLAPPED the demon girl twice? SLAPPED HER? It just screamed domestic abuse. Why not punch her? Just as effective and less connotationally problematic. And then the way he derisively dropped money for the pie? The whole thing felt like he'd just abused and dropped a whore :-/
I'm just curious if anyone else saw that, I don't want to get embroiled in anything! Let's leave it at OMG SHOW HI I HAVE MISSED YOU YAY.
Today was better! My "disastrous" day at the lab yesterday turned out not to be so disastrous as I thought, and my analytical lab today was longlonglong and nonstop, but not difficult and I got quite good results. Hurrah! Cinema was fun enough (though way too short!) and I chatted with Prof Moss afterward about something I'd thought of during the discussion. He liked what I had to say :D Oh and hey guys, guess what? He was adorable! No wait that's not what I wanted to tell you. I totes Facebook-stalked him, and it turns out he's thirty and married! lololol. Man, I hate guys my age.
THE WEST WING CONTINUES TO BE THE BEST INVENTION EVER. Sam and Josh were so stupidly adorable in this episode Michelle and I just watched, I can't even HANDLE them. It's like they heard my complaining that the show never shows them as the buddies we know they are, from their past together! They heard and answered, and were TOTES ADORABLE NOMG. *goes to read moar fic*
