Bones 1x04

exsequarAhhhh Bones! Every time I see an episode I feel like flapping at you all. I think this is a good sign :D
I LOVE how clueless Bones is (any pop culture reference: "I don't know what that means") and I want to think there's something a little intentional about it, but mostly she's just that insulated, which is kind of precious. Booth totally thinks so too. And Booth, by the way, could solve my crime ANY day. Unf! I mean - he's David Boreanaz, and I was already madly in love with him, but it still doesn't hurt to see him snarking around my screen all the time.
This episode was the one with the cannibal dude, and while I thought the plot was kind of lame, everything else was amazing. I loved Brennan admiring the well-formed muscles of Charlie the Overnight Guy (who was extremely charming, I must say) and Booth and Brennan dancing together, awwww. She looked so awkward in all the other guys' arms, then as soon as Booth snagged her it just looked RIGHT. I cannot wait for those two to seal the deal. :D I'm also looking forward to the vast amounts of UST - it's Mulder and Scully all over again! Yay!
The subplot with Zach and Hodgins competing for a lady was hi-LAR-ious. Hodgins thinks he's so smooth, but he's a bit TOO smooth, and Zach is just so adorably wide-eyed and innocent, awww. I could totally eat him up too. But then the hot delivery girl gave the last delivery to ANGELA, and Angela's reaction was priiiiceless. I'm with Hodgins - that's HOT. *grins* Is that a sort of subtle hint that Angela may be bi? Or was she just being playful? Either way, I love.
One more thing - Hodgins continues to remind me extremely strongly of Jeremy, and it's kind of freaking me out. From his smile to how he moves to the timbre of his voice, it's deeply uncanny. I'm hoping that will fade after a while, because it's making me miss Jeremy a lot, and distracting me from Hodgins's own charms.
Aanyway. Yay Bones! I need an icon.
On an entirely different note, UGH, FUCK YOU AHMADINEJAD. I was so hopeful for Mousavi to pull an Obama-like victory, but something really stinks. Ughhh.
