ps. They're kidding, right? I mean, technically they just risked 2/3rds of something and only got 1/3 because of circumstances already established!
I was seriously going to make a post like this with the subject line 'dear Torchwood' and the body of the post a caret that points at my current icon, but this works equally well :D
You know, IT DOESN'T REALLY MAKE SENSE. 1. There was no compelling reason Ianto had to be there with him except so they could be all cute and in unison and snarky. 2. What kind of show kills 3 of its 5 main characters?!? and 3. They accomplished NOTHING, and I'm not sure what else they expected, dammit. I mean sure, bravado is great, but ONLY SEND IN THE GUY WHO CAN'T DIE PLEASE.
This is so disappointing after 3.9 incredibly good episodes of storytelling. Character death is just such an incredibly cheap way to achieve shock and drama, which they were already DOING without killing Ianto! I mean come on. He HAS to come back. He has to!
...right? :(
ETA: Oh btw would you like to know the irony that's breaking my heart? Right before I watched the episode I found the promo pictures of Jack and Ianto which are FUCKING BEAUTIFUL and started making a header that says "fixed point in time and space". HahahahahSOB. D:
