My dad had surgery today. My mom doesn't know too much, but it apparently went okay. I think he's still in the hospital. She's going to bring him home later today. He'll be in pain for a while :( I really wish I could be there with him... sigh. Apparently my siblings are fighting a lot too. I really don't miss that. I'm really not homesick at all, I'd just like to be with my dad.

On a happier note, I got two packages today... Firefly and Wraeththu! Most of you know about the first (Serenity is soon, squee!) but the second is a book series that the5thmarauder recommended to me, another fantasy series with serious gay content *smile* It's a huge book, almost 800 pages, but that's because it's a whole trilogy in one volume. So. I'm excited for that (no idea how long it will take me to read, with the little reading time I have) and I'm also glad to have Firefly. I also got an email that Lost has shipped, so that should be here in a day or two. Yay.

college is still easy, woohoo.

Ummm. I love you all, and I really miss talking to my girls as much as I used to :( We really got spoiled with the summer, and being online like, 24/7 and you guys staying up to ungodly hours in Germany and England so I could talk to you :P I miss youuuu. *huggles*

To give this post a purpose, I'll make a rec... I found the website of a great vidder last night. The first thing I saw of hers was a curt/Brian vid, definitely the best one I've ever seen (although there really aren't that many out there). Then I watched some Simon/River, a Simon/Mal (haha), some various Firefly, and a Faith & connor (kicking ass, not shippy) one. There's stuff from various fandoms, but it's principally Firefly. If you do like Velvet Goldmine I would recommend watching the c/b vid though. So enough of me prattling on, here's the link: Obsessive24

Thanks for the rec, darling! - The curt/brian one is really good. I've only seen one other VG songvid. :/ There are really to few of them.

Oh, and I've watched the OC vid. Gnah. Bad bad me. It was of the last ep of the second season and that was the only ep, I wasn't spoiled for. Nya, until now. *gg*

Oh dear. I will feel incredibly guilty if you don't like it now :P On the other hand, I'm enjoying it immensely. It has Mpreg though. But oddly enough this doesn't squee me as it normally does. I think I will love it, since you and I are virtually the same person ^_^ I don't think the mpreg will bother me since it's androgyny and therefore it is fine. FINE I SAY.
