one more miracle

I am now a red belt in Shotokan karate! YAY! \o/

We had our grading tonight, and it was surprisingly short and simple. We basically did what we normally do for class, with one of our normal instructors, while the grader sat and watched. Of course it was a bit more intense than usual, but that was awesome - I loved the rush. The red belt is the second one - we all skipped orange and went right to red, hurrah :)

Apparently the grader (Malachi) was particularly impressed with me! When the red belts were doing their grading, there were three of them so pairing up obviously didn't work, and he had me come up and be the fourth! That was really cool.

I love karate! It gives me this chance to just completely wipe my mind of all external stresses, focusing in on my own body and my own abilities, ridding myself of baggage and just immersing myself in it. I've always loved the idea of that kind of intense focus - I did something similar when I did dancing - and karate just suits me so perfectly. I really hope I find a good club back in Lancaster so I can keep up with it when I go home. I think it could be really good for me.

Now Sinead and I get to go buy our karate suits, I'm really excited :D

We went to the Pav (campus bar) afterwards to celebrate, so now I've got a Guinness in me and I'm a bit wobbly and giggly and affectionate. This should make working on my lab reports... interesting! *laughs*

So I have decided that what I want most in the whole wide WORLD is... a Frank sandwich with Way bread.

YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT TOO. Shut up, don't judge, I come from Supernatural fandom okay? I has no lines left! *hands* And basically, it's only logical. See, I lovelovelove Frank/Gerard. And there's a special place in my heart for Frank/Mikey. So, Frank + Way = Awesome, and thusly, Frank + 2Ways = AWESOME^2. By the Additive Property Of Way Awesomeness, THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

....*cough* So yeah. I told myself I wouldn't do the Waycest, and I won't, not really, but Frankie makes it OKAY apparently. *hands*

Soooo still hating violently on stupid physical chem labs. We finished two separate experiments today and thus have those writeups to do, and I also did a makeup experiment for the week I went to see MCR, so I have THREE lab reports on my plate. ADDITIONALLY, I have an ORAL EXAM tomorrow morning on two of the labs I've already done, and HI. HATE. *STAB*

*deep breaths*

Moving on! We had our last karate class before the grading tonight! I'm kind of nervous, but everyone's saying I'm definitely ready and will probably get to the second belt, so I'm excited too! I've got bruises and scrapes on my forearms from blocking, it's pretty awesome. I also got to throw a guy old enough to be my dad on the floor today! \o/ I love this karate thing.

Also also, I ran into Andy right before karate and stopped to talk to him so long I was a little late to class! He pretty much makes me happy. And that doesn't have to mean in the pining way, he just lifts my spirits just to be around him. He said we could hang out this weekend, he even mentioned maybe coffee just us, which would be, no lie, awesome :)

Is there or isn't there a new Supernatural tonight? There isn't, right? :(
