Things Wot I Love

( Aw hell, I couldn't pick just one - more pretty behind the cut! )
Things Wot I Less Than Love
Lalala pointless LJ post! I don't know why y'all stick around, honestly. Much less why more people keep friending me! It baffles, for serious. Which, by the way, hello new people! Don't be afraid to pop in and say hi, I don't bite!
- The Academy Is...! I love chair dancing and car dancing and grocery store dancing to their music, practically 24/7.
- Also in music, I currently love Jamie Cullum (fun modern jazz, very summery), Kelly Clarkson's new CD, Tegan & Sara's "So Jealous," and Xavier Rudd, who I swear sounds exactly like Tom McRae, who, incidentally, I also love.
- SHOOOOOEBOX!
"You stole my cake?" Sirius asks. “I thought I ate it while I wasn’t paying attention.” ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - The fact that James Marsters is going to be on Torchwood. The thought of him and John Barrowman on the same screen, being sexy and snarky and, I quote, "violent and horny," kind of essplodes my brain.
- Harry Potter in 3 days guys!! *vibrates*
- John&Rodney (RODNEY WORE A BLACK ZIP UP!!!1!!), John&Aeryn (o the angst!), Danny&Rusty (eyefuckery! smirking!), Remus&Sirius (puppies!), and of course Sam&Dean (!!!!). ♥
- This icon. Dumbledore's Army FTW!
- This picture. Thanks muchly to
expatiates's spam of joy!

- Working on my presentation/paper for my summer project. I think I'm *finally* making progress, but it's still a wee bit like pulling teeth. On the bright side, my skillz in Photoshop are serving me well to make my Powerpoint super pretty.
- The fact that I have to leave in 2.5 weeks :( I've really gotten comfortable living here on my own, with Awesome Roomie and independence and all that wonderful stuff. I do miss my family, but. It seems like the summer's simply flown by.
- No Dave at work today! Everything was very slow and boring and quiet without him.

I saw OotP again, YAYE. It was just as mindblowingly fantastic this time around, if slightly less awe-inspiring on a normal sized screen compared to IMAX *g* I did see it with two friends this time instead of alone, and that was lots of fun. There was a lot of giggling. The crowd was... interesting. There was a girl behind us who had the most ludicrous laugh - it sounded kind of like deep honking. She laughed a lot when Umbridge was doing her shtick at the beginning, and Kelly and I were just DYING of laughter FROM THE GIRL'S LAUGHTER. It was supremely distracting. Thankfully she didn't do it any more later. Another hilarious thing was when Luna said "We fly, of course." these two young girls in front of us immediately echoed the line in unison. IT WAS SO FUNNY. Me and my friends were dying of giggles for a few minutes afterwards. Hee! Certainly spiced things up a bit.
My thoughts remain pretty much the same. This isn't a movie that particularly NEEDS a second viewing, but there's nothing lost by knowing how it goes, either. It's simply joy from beginning to end.
I have such a passionate love affair with both Sirius and Remus right now, and thusly I have commenced rereading Shoebox! I swear I teared up with joy when I pulled up the first chapter - I love this story with a huge damn chunk of my heart. Actually more than the novels themselves, to be quite honest. I look forward to immersing myself in this story for a good long while. Sirius and Remus Maturity Lupin-Black, I love you! ♥

*flails and dies*
It was so, so good guys. Really. SO GOOD. My favorite parts of Shoebox are the letter writing, and this chapter did not disappoint ONE BIT.
"I would tell you more but Dumbledore would have to kill me with his beard."
So go READ IT!

In other happy news, my professor read my introduction for my paper (he couldn't see the graphs and results portion, because Word is the big suck) and said it was, and I quote, "excellent." This is extremely welcome and motivating news because that was by far the most stressful and labor intensive portion of the whole thing. So, yay.
