OMGWTFBBQ?!!?

Yes, this IS my GG commentary, not Lost. Holy SHIT. Luke has a daughter!??? A geeky brilliant daughter at that??? W. T. F.!!! I'm really not liking this turn of events. It's going to screw EVERYTHING up, and it feels far too much like deus ex machina for my tastes. Oh no, look, Luke and Lorelai might be happy, HAVE TO MESS THEM UP!!! ASAP! *cries*

I'm VERY glad Rory and Lorelai are reunited, but it comes at a very high price! *cries some more*

Speaking of Rory, she was really... creepy and obnoxious when she was pestering that guy about the job. I know it was supposed to be a return to her tenacious old self, but it just felt really annoying, and I really hoped she wouldn't get that job. But she did. Argh.

And Lorelai was being very selfish about the furniture! It wasn't THAT bad! Honestly, woman. She could have at least compromised, like gotten him to change that godawful mirror. Spoiled little girl.

And what about Jesse? I thought he was going to be in this episode too! I wish he would come back again :(

Lost:

I really liked this ep. At the beginning, it felt like a rerun of the first season really really fast and with different faces. Seriously. So many similar things. The guy that died after a while with a wound that got infected (like the marshal). Ana Lucia running around doing everything just like Jack did. Someone up in a tree (Bernard and the pilot, although rather different circumstances.) Someone not talking (Eko and Rose). But I kept faith, knowing they were going somewhere with it all. And they didn't disappoint!

The whole Nathan and Goodwin thing... intense. I definitely did not suspect Goodwin until he snapped Nathan's neck. Question: was Nathan an Other or not? Did Goodwin really kill him to stop him from proving that he wasn't the Other? Or did he kill his fellow Other to keep their secrets? But why would they need two spies? Hmmmmmmmm.

I still like Ana Lucia, dammit. In my opinion, this episode did a lot to flesh her out and let us know how she became how she is. At the beginning she was compassionate and good, but circumstances made her tough and somewhat cruel. It's just how she reacts.

Those poor kids!!! :(:(:(

And what is it with them taking only "good" people? are none of the original survivors good besides the kids? Hmmmm.

Also, question. I remember something about Ana Lucia being a pop star, or...? Like, when she first showed up in that flashback, I remember her being described that way. That could be SO off.

Goodwin told Ana Lucia that he killed him because he figured when she cut off his finger and he still insisted he wasn't the spy, she might start to think she was wrong and start looking for the right person to blame. I figure that's why he did it.

And what is it with them taking only "good" people? are none of the original survivors good besides the kids? Hmmmm.

I said this to someone else as well. What I think they meant by good was "innocent" or "pure". That would explain, I think, why they haven't been taking people from the side of the island we're used to. No one we've know very well as far as background/etc. goes is truly innocent. Their pasts are shady/they've done things wrong. It's not to say they're BAD people, but they're not truly pure. Uh, that probably doesn't make sense.

The problem with that logic is that you're then saying that the.. what, 12 people (including the kids) that they took from the tailies were all pure people? I dunno...

I don't know man. It's all very confusing. I don't know what their actual criteria would be and such. Who did they take other than the kids? It would totally help if we knew something about THOSE people. Stupid Lost with it's stupid questions that make us think. I'm too lazy for this.

I still dislike Ana. While the backstory better explained their reaction of putting Sawyer and friends into a hole, it doesnt excuse killing shany.


Also, this episode is the second time an episode ends at the same point a previous episode did.

I thought it was much more effective this time. Last time, much of the episode itself was the same. This time, we came to the same point from a very different angle. I liked it.
