Hi eljay! Io'm in bed with nebulein and she putp a tequila shot in me and german beer and a blu elagoon ccoktal so i'm pretty drunk and i'm typing while lying on my back so apologies for incohenrece. We've been having so much fun - i met her boyfriend, and we went out (obviously) to Captain Cooks (haha palm tres) and had a lovely tiem. WE've been watching queer as folk and enjoying it very much. DID YOU KNOW I LOVE BRIAN KINNEYY??????? Cause I do, al ot a lot. :D

So, I'm sick. It's yucky. I don't like being sick. It's a cold, the kind that sets up camp in your head and drums constantly on your forehead from the inside. My throat doesn't hurt too badly, though I am coughing quite a bit, and I do sneeze occasionally, but it's mainly fatigue and achyness. Meh.

An unexpected side benefit of this was that I went to bed at MIDNIGHT last night. To be accurate, 11:59 PM!! I don't think I've been to bed in the PM hours for several months. It was crazy, and then I slept until 10 AM. 10 hours of sleep!! That's more than I usually get even on the weekends. Lately, that is. craaaazy. It was really helpful to not feel exhausted today, because feeling sick was bad enough. Being alert for a change is nice! Maybe I'll take up the bed-before-3-thing as a habit. :P

I'm not in bed yet (it's 12:45) because Michelle and I just finished watching SIX episodes of Queer as Folk!! It's so fun to be watching them again. I haven't seen any of the storylines besides Brian and Justin's since the first time I watched (over a year ago - I started watching about halfway through my senior year, I think). It's just really fun reliving it all again. We watched 102-107. Awww baby Justin *pets* Whoreish Brian *licks* (OMG ARMS AND TORSO AND ASS AND HE IS THE HOTTEST THING ON LEGS) Queeny Emmett *snuggles* Wide-eyed Mikey *hugs* Empathetic Jennifer *sympathizes* and aw I just love them all.

Why is everyone leaving this weekend?!?! Seriously, it seems like half the campus is taking off. Sara, Jill, Sean, Casey, Jess, Sarah, and apparently all of Jcrew (a club Jill's in) and just SO. MANY. PEOPLE. It's weeeeeird.

I just found out that my supervisor at work is gay, and that his partner works in the library too. Awwww. I LOVE my supervisor, he's cool, funny, laid back, kind, just an awesome guy. And aw.

I really need to make icon posts more often, so they don't end up having almost 60 icons! Oy. I always end up with a mixed bunch, so the ones from earlier on I don't like so much anymore and I'm still pleased with the recent ones. Meh. Anyways, here's the breakdown for this set. Sadly, I did not see Serenity tonight. My friend had too much work, and honestly, so did I. So here I sit in my room, depressedly writing a boring paper. Instead of watching River kick ass and Simon be ridonkulously hot. *sad* How can I rectify this? *thinks* Well, I could watch some Simon/River scenes... yes I think I shall do that... *toddles off*

ETA: Adding to this post because I don't want to make two stupid posts within 5 minutes. So, what i just noticed is that having 100 icons has actually made me use the same icons for longer periods of time. It just seems like such an ordeal to rotate them all. As a result, I've used the same four Brustin icons for at least a month, when I have a couple hundred saved. Same thing with Ewan. But another factor of that is that I've sort of sidled out of those fandoms for the time being (I still love Ewan!!! But I just don't have any new material to squee over. And QaF is slowly but surely dying.) so I don't even use those icons all that often. Basically, all my comments lately have to do with Firefly, Brokeback Mountain, or Harry Potter, so I use those icons the most. And they get changed the most often (especially Firefly, since I've been making new ones). But it seems kind of a waste to have 100 icon spaces and basically the same icons sit there, while the thousand+ I have saved just languish. Meh.

Based on a comment redbrickrose made, that the author doesn't really know fandom, I decided to send an email to her (the author) enlightening her about our little corner of the web. I hope I do us justice. I'm posting it here so you all can give me your opinions.
