Sometimes I Forget I'm Still Awake by paperclipbitch, Arthur/Gwen, PG, 4000 words, big spoilers for 1x12
An absolutely gorgeous, quiet little story about Gwen and her sadness, her complicated fondness for Arthur, and his complicated fondness in return. I can't say more because of spoilers, but if you've seen 1x12 you know what this is about. And it's beautiful. There are some lovely Merlin and Morgana moments as well. Just a wonderful story, and I hope the show does as much justice by Arthur and Gwen.

And now, The Hot People Meme! Basically an excuse to picspam prettiness. Who am I to say no? Going with the random sixteen number because 10 just isn't enough! :) I imposed a strict 5 pictures per person rule or else this would have taken me HOURS. (ETA: Okay, so it took hours anyway. It's been snowing allll day, it's quite lovely but keeping me from going and doing a couple errands. Classes start tomorrow and it'll be nice to have something to do. So in the meantime I'm basically just being a blob!

Valentine's Day would have just sailed right past me without making a blip on my radar if it weren't for all ya'll lovely people. It's 1 AM and I got back from my school's production of The Vagina Monologues 30 minutes ago. It was AWESOME, again. They get some fabulous actresses to take part :) By turns hilarious, moving, and horrifying, it was a great performance. One girl wrote her own monologue for it, and it was about how she was sexually abused when she was seven, and the need for women to not be silent about abuse. That got me in the gut. It was very eloquent and painful. There was lots of really great material - it was wonderful. If you ever get the chance to see a performance, I definitely recommend it.

It perhaps says something about me that when they said "Pittsburgh LOVES vaginas!" I looked at Michelle and burst out laughing. (You will only get that if you know Queer as Folk. But if you do, HEE.)

And now of course I'm about to read some gay porn! Cock FTW! *facepalm* I fail at being a girl. Hee.

So I watched Gale's new show Vanished.

Two things.

One, here is an article that citizenjess linked to on her journal. It's about boykissing in movies (basically), and includes lovely quotes from Heath and Jake showing how they're awesome and fine with having to kiss another guy for a role, as opposed to actors in other films who have expressed disgust about it. It's very interesting and well worth a read for all us boykissing lovers (since pretty much all my flist is ^_^). Here: A Kiss is Just a Kiss

Two, nomeremuggle did this cool mutual challenge ficlet thingy, where people commented to her post, she gave them a challenge, they did it and then could challenge her to write something. The fics were around 50 to 200 words. So I jumped in headfirst and did it, even though I was terrified. I'm sharing both my ficlet and her response ^_^
