Firstly, thank you everso to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] xsnarkasaurus for the adorable dragon on my profile! ♥

I had a most wunderbar weekend on a ski trip with my friends! It was preceded by a nutso week. I shall talk about them! (With a couple visual aids!)

My nutso and (sometimes) wunderbar life. )

This weekend was ALSO a fantastic weekend for my beloved football teams. Sadly I wasn't able to watch it live, but since I was off having so much fun that's okay. :) I got back from snowshoeing Saturday to find that Mainz had won 4-0!!! The noise I made when I saw that would have terrified dogs, haha. My beautiful Ádám scored for the first time since coming back from injury, AND it was against the same team he tore his ACL against more than a year ago! I'm so happy for him. Zidan scored his fourth goal in four games for us, bless his heart. My favorite teeny one, Nicolai, also nicked a goal, and EMCM finished poor Kaiserslautern off. It was our big derby too! Beyond pleased to see all my boys so happy. ♥♥

Also happy were my other boys in red and white, who won THEIR derby 5-2! That's right, Arsenal TROUNCED Sp*rs, and it was glorious. They went down 2-0, then came back to score 5 unanswered goals, including a truly glorious Robin van Perfect strike and FINALLY a Rosicky goal after which he looked so happy I got all teary. AND a Sagna header! AND a Walcott brace! Ahhhh! Take THAT, Gareth fucking Bale, with your stupid face and your stupid dives. The relief of the Arsenal boys was palpable, and the Emirates was just hopping (I managed to catch part of the second half on a skippy stream at the lodge). YAY!

Ádám and Mo are my darling derbysieger! <333

Lalala that's it for tonight!

I have been the worst updater EVER recently, I'm sorry! I've been swamped with lab and spending every goddamn second possible with Francisco. I spent last night at his place and said goodbye to him this morning. You better believe there were absolute floods of tears. I think I hugged and kissed him 20 times before I could bring myself to go. It was terrible. He made me smile though because when I said I would miss his stupid t-shirts (he has such ridiculous and adorable ones, like teenage mutant ninja turtles) he got an idea and gave me his GIRAFFE HAT as something to remember him by, because he wouldn't need it in Florida. I LOVE that hat on him, so it is the sweetest gift ever. I will cherish it.

So that was really hard. We've been texting all day though which has made things a little easier. I know we'll stay very much in touch, but it's going to be hard for a while. I still hate that he has to leave and think it's completely unfair, but I do hope that he makes a new life there that he can love. Otherwise it's only that much worse.

The reason I was the one doing the leaving was that I was setting off for NEW YORK CITY BABY! Wooooo! I got picked up by [livejournal.com profile] rhombal and [livejournal.com profile] musictoyourlips and we road tripped! It was awesomesauce! \o/ So now we are staying at the lovely house of one [livejournal.com profile] wordsalone, along with [livejournal.com profile] strikesoftly, in the suburbs of NYC. Tomorrow we're going to spend the day in the city, my bestest best friend Michelle will join us along with a bunch of other lovely folks, and then we will see AMERICAN IDIOT!!!!!!!!! Stark Sands! Tony Vincent! SO MUCH DELIGHT I cannot waaait lksjdfs.

In other news, FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE UNBEARABLY HOT. We spent the evening at [livejournal.com profile] wordsalone's ogling various footie players, particularly one Fernando Torres (DAT ASS), the rest of the Spanish squad, and the German squad as well (my bbs!!!). There was a lot of squealing and laughing and awwwwing and oooohing. We appreciate Nando's penchant for unclothedness. :D

Right now football is totally stressing me out though because BASTI SCHWEINSTEIGER MIGHT NOT PLAY ON SUNDAY! DDDDDD: He hurt his hamstring in the game against Ghana and it doesn't look to be good for my bb. D: He has been so fucking key to our entire performance so far, providing much needed stability and maturity to the very center of the lineup (he's playing center midfield since Ballack was injured). We haven't been playing at our best anyway, so it's terrifying to think how we might perform without him. The only consolation that England has looked WORSE, and we will have Klose back, so MAAAYBE we still have a chance? I HAVE FAITH. COME ON MANNSCHAFT!!!

Another bright side is that Rosie's giddy glee has completely infected me with Espana fever, so I'm very happy to root for them as well. The game against Portugal's gonna be tough though! COME ON ESPANA!! (And Nando's ass.)

The German NT will always be first in my heart though, and I'm so worried for them. :(((( I'm scared that all the pretty new icons I made will be irrelevant in a couple days...

OMG WORLD CUP! OMG AMERICAN IDIOT! OMG FANGIRLS!!!!!!

Good times. ♥

I am back after my two day absence! You probably missed me HORRIBLY, didn't you? Crying in your tea, all of you. Well, now I am back, so you can cut that out! *beams*

...what's that? You didn't even notice I was gone? Something to do with some pretty odd music? And some pretty odd boys who made it? Well, I suppose I can forgive you ;)

I was busy seeing this:

Two days of rolling green hills, lots of sheeps and ponies, then suddenly looming crags of harsh limestone which plunged directly into a blue-green sea. All this with the sun beaming down, clouds flitting about and occasionally spitting on us a little (and, on one memorable occasion, delivering a 2 minute blast of driving rain and swirling flakes of snow, only to reveal the sun literally minutes later) and a biting cold wind. It was pretty fucking Irish, and it was wonderful. The sisterthing, Daddy and I found a gorgeous B&B directly on the coast just outside the little village of Ballyvaughn, owned and run by - wait for it - Annette and JOE FLANAGAN. (I can't tell you how much I giggled when my dad told me that. Someone write that AU, stat! :D) We basically drove around the wilds for two days, our only major touristy activity being going to Bunratty Castle, which was gorgeous. I seriously felt like I was in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Our little rental car is positively coated with mud (tiny, TINY roads! meep) and basically it was one grand adventure. We had a wonderful time. I have over 300 pictures from that trip and our drive down into the Wicklow Mountains to see Glendalough Abbey, and I want to select some and make a picture post, but who knows if I'll actually do that. So here, have my favorite shot from Glendalough:

Precious babbling brook tumbling through the Irish countryside in a vast valley, with the ruins of Glendalough Abbey in the distance and a very strange mountain looming up to the left - it looked like the African savannah! So cool.

I'm rather in love with my beautiful little country. I'm so glad I really got to explore it before I leave. (I DUN WANNA GO! *sniff*)

Meanwhile, Panic at the Disco is daaaarling, Pretty. Odd. is growing on me (thank god), I still haven't gotten a shipping confirmation email from FBR for the Deluxe Edition (fuck you very much), and Torchwood is prettttty much made of win.

How are you my loves?

Hallo darlings! The radio silence from me is because I've been having a marvelous time with [livejournal.com profile] the5thmarauder, exploring Cardiff, seeing all the places Torchwood has filmed (the "in these stones" building is gorgeous! and Ianto's office is a grungy little hole in the wall), playing Zelda: Crossbow Training on the Wii with her parentals, and watching many many forms of media. Rachael is now thoroughly head over heels for Mikey and company, and she's also already addicted to Friday Night Lights, which, duh :D I really am having the best time. Her parents are so sweet, and her mom is just so kind and generous and helpful and I feel like a princess, honestly! I try to help her out and she just waves me off, hee. We're currently listening to The Black Parade while Ray works on her Zombie Survival Guide for her graphics class, which is AWESOME. Her little zombies are so CUTE! Today we went to Penarth Pier, which was beautiful.

I'm super super glad I decided to do this for my vacation - it beats the hell out of sitting around in Dublin! (Hahahaha... I can't believe I just said that) Fangirls are seriously, SERIOUSLY ftw, you guys. I wish I had them all the time. Hey, we should start a commune! Y/Y???

I have managed to keep up with my flist though. The Cobra reality show on MTV.com is hilarious, no fucking lie, ahahahaha. MPREG! You're not asian!!! No YOU'RE fat! There isn't a car here, you realize that right? Gabe, we're voting you out. AHAHAHA. COBRAAAAAS. Panic! at the Prom is endlessly precious, as is the newer Bden and Ryro bits in Cosmo girl - Brendon's looking for his Jasmine! AWWWW. Though let's be honest, it's more like, I don't know, Brian looking for his Justin. *g* But hey, I was Jasmine for Halloween when I was a kid! Pick me, Bden, pick me! :D

I am deeply excited for the next few days, as we're going to get the City is at War video (HURRAH!) and HOPEFULLY something out of those teasing Panic! children, if the website is to be believed! Yaye!

Does anyone know what the status is on the supposed video for Mama, that Gerard is supposed to direct? I know Frankie's in New Jersey right now, and they've got the South America tour in... February. So is the video going to happen some time in there? I hope so - I really wanna see what Gee comes up with!

Well Ray and I are off to watch more FNL, I believe! Catch you on the flipside!
exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Mikey thumbs up!)
I HAS A RACHAEL ([livejournal.com profile] the5thmarauder). \o/

I also has a Rachael converted to bandom, hahaha. It only took me, oh, 3 hours. She was easy ;) Her poisons of choice seem to be Brendon/Ryan and MIKEYWAY, so she's a girl after my own heart! Hee! I showed her tons of pictures and a couple videos and she's a smitten kitten. \o/!

I slept until, um, really late, because I'm still on American time, but it's okay because it's miserable outside so I think we're just gonna have a lowkey day in. Her house is so lovely, very cozy and homey, and her parents are just so sweet. Aaaand I has a Ray! I'm so ridiculously happy to be here. Hurray!

I counted and after next week I'm going to have taken 7 plane flights in the past three months. That's roughly equivalent to all the flights I've taken in the rest of my life! Haha. I guess that's what I get for choosing an island to live on for a year :)

Back to watching Whose Line is It Anyway with Ray and her dad! Hee.
