[livejournal.com profile] torakowalski gave me the letter G in that meme where you list ten things you like starting with that letter. So here we go! (G is really hard, by the way, so these are going to be kind of random)

G is for... )

ETA: 11. GUINNESS! I can't believe I forgot my most favorite beer! <333

Comment and ask me if you want a letter of your own!

I've just watched the new Supernatural, 3x12 Jus In Bello (What does that name mean, btw?)
Major spoilers! )

I had a lovely relaxing day with Colin today. I spent the night last night and then we didnt emerge from his room until, um, 4 PM. Yeah. We watched Heroes when we woke up, and his VLC is set to repeat, so the episode replayed uh, 3 more times before we were, hmm, unoccupied. Haha, yeah. Anyway! Very relaxing day :)

I want to talk about TEEVEE! Surprise!

First, before I get to the squee, WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE WRITERS GUILD STRIKE???? Unless you are and I've missed it which is completely logical since I haven't been keeping up with most of my flist. But. This is BAD NEWS BEARS. It starts tomorrow, or something, and means that NO MORE TV will get written. Daily Show is going off the air, 24 won't have a complete season, etc etc. Colin said the last strike, in 1988, went on for 6 months and fucked a whole bunch of shows all to hell.

GAH. *panics a little* This is particularly bad news for BSG, but it's just bad all around, and I'm so nervous! Does anyone have any more information that might make me feel a bit better? I heard about it first from reading articles about Joss's new show, where he said it couldn't start getting written until after the strike. Gah! *flaaaail*

Okay, now we get to the squee, because you guys, TV IS AWESOME.

Heroes 2x06 )

Supernatural 3x05 Bedtime Stories )

Stargate Atlantis 4x05 Travelers and 4x06 Tabula Rasa )

Colin watched SGA with me, and he really liked it a lot! \o/ I'm going to work on getting him started from the beginning, hurrah! He also hasn't seen BSG! He's a geek but a not quite fully accomplished one - he just doesn't ever get around to dedicating the time to it. I will fix that! :D

Colin has invited me to go watch a Trinity rugby match, in which his sister in law will be playing and where I will get to meet his VERY pregnant sister! I'm pretty excited, meeting the family and all :D Should be fun!

Oh my god I LOVE OUR SHOW!! It's baaaaaack!

Oh how I have missed you my Winchesters! )

POUTY SAM IS THE BEST SAM EVER.

I spent my Friday night hanging out with the sci fi soc boys (yes, again) but this time we just stayed in their club room and watched Sunshine and Not Another Teen Movie and Shaun of the Dead. Sunshine was FABULOUS. A really awesome sci fi/horror movie. Yes, it really did become quite scary, but they did a good job of making you care about the characters quickly so it really hit hard. It was also beautifully made, with some of the best CGI work I've ever seen. I really liked it a lot.

Not Another Teen Movie is hilarious - what I find amusing though is that it makes fun of several movies that i absolutely love, and has the effect of making me want to see them RIGHT NOW. Ten things I hate about you! Bring it on! Two of my very favoritest movies, haha.

Putting on Shaun of the Dead was inspired, I think, by my tshirt - I was wearing my Threadless "What to do in a zombiepocalypse" tshirt, the one that tells you "she's not your mother anymore!" Hahaha. Of course there was a few minutes of everyone staring at my chest and trying to read the instructions, lmao. I love that shirt ;)

So I just realized that Resident Evil: Extinction is out here, OMG. I really really really want to see it! I have to think that some of the sci fi guys wanna see it too, but I feel kind of awkward calling. I wanted to call or text Colin seeing if he wanted to go, but I decided against texting because it's hard to say everything I want to say in a text - namely, asking if he liked the first two, asking if anybody else would want to go, and explaining that it's totally cool if he doesn't want to. You know, to make it clear that I'm not asking him out. Because I'm not! I just wanna see the movie, lol. The only other guys' numbers from the group I have are Conor (you know, the one from the club night, so, awkward) and Niall, who is out of town now. Meh. I'll figure it out!

Guys, SO MUCH TEEVEE. I downloaded and watched Supernatural, of course, because that's still top priority. I liked some things about the episode, but from reading other peoples' reactions, I was seeing that people loved the episode and then they'd have a line in their reaction about what they DIDN'T like Aw hell, spoilers. Warning - some possible squee harshing in here. )

As for other TV - I'm downloading SGA 4x03 and Pushing Daisies 1x02 right now, I have to download FNL 2x02 later, I already have the latest episodes of House and Heroes downloaded, as well as the pilot of Dirty Sexy Money because everyone and their sister is raving about it. So. Much. TV! *flails* And I should probably be studying at some point, meh.

Ahahahahaha. My roommate just changed the channel and went "Oh my god, it's Junior." and I was like huh? So she explained that it's a movie about Arnold Schwarzenegger HAVING A BABY. Like. PHYSICALLY BIRTHING A CHILD. THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT MPREG. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

And on that note, farewell <3

It's so much easier to socialize here in Ireland! One part of it is that the community is so small at F&M that after like, your first semester you're kind of locked in and there isn't much fluctuation of social groups. But there's so many people and societies and events here that it's really easy to go out and meet new people. And I'm actually doing it! Yay me!

I knew a while ago that I really wanted to join the Sci Fi Society here, hoping to find like-minded people. So I did, and tonight they were showing Knocked Up (they're more of a general popular culture society than just scifi) and so I went to it, and I started chatting with one of the members, Niall. He said I should come hang out with them after the movie, so I did, and that's how I ended up at Niall and Barry's room with five geeky computer science guys for the evening. We spent a few hours just having a couple beers and chatting. They were all really nice, especially Colin, and just so nerdy and funny and smart. Niall immediately caught it when I made a Hitchhiker's Guide reference, and there was geeking out about Battlestar, SGA, Golden Compass, and so on and so forth. It was so much fun! GEEKS UNITE!

Tomorrow night I'm going to the Scifi Soc sponsored club night, and since I already know people it should be a blast. I'm excited! :D

Also, Knocked Up was awesome. KATIE HEIGL, MARRY ME. <3<3<3

The only problem I can see so far is that it seems like I'm going to be staying out late quite often, but most likely not with my roommates. Sooo that means I have to find my way home by myself... in the center of a city. Not the best place to go walking by yourself in the middle of the night when you're a young girl, yaknow? I got a cab home tonight, and that's about 7 Euro, which isn't awful but I also don't want to be spending that too often. Hm. I suppose as I get more comfortable in the city I'll probably start braving the walk home. Meh.

So I got the heads up that the SPN S3 premiere was available for download from iTunes for free... I snagged it and I'mwatchingitnow. I must be quite honest and admit that I'm not nearly as riled up and excited about this season as I was about last year, but it's still WINCHESTERS YAY. \o/ And now I won't miss out on y'all's squee! Bless iTunes!

Taking a break from the Pottermania for a Supernatural-related PSA.

From the mouth of Kripke himself:
"But the difference between us and other shows, is when they make missteps, they say, 'Go f--- yourself.' When we make missteps, we pay attention to the fans and we course correct. So, fans, I love you all, but stop worrying."

So spake the Kripke, and the fangirles did fall at his feete and worship Him.

Or in other words, QUIT YER WHINING. Geez. Trust the Kripke, folks!

More Kripke awesomeness and a lot of reassuring info on S3

Hahaha. Oh man.

I was just poking through some of my old entries for fun, and I came across one where I was ANGSTING about what was going to happen in SPN S2. I was all "I want the SamandDean show! They can't bring in new people! Wah!" And I was so scared of where it was going to go, whether they were going to ruin it...

AND LOOK WHAT WE GOT. We got one of my favorite seasons of television EVER.

That's it. I'm not worried for S3. I'm excited and want September to be here yesterday! I miss my Winchesters.

Hi I'm back!

*FLOPS*

I'm exhausted. Very, very exhausted. As I'm sure you all know, Jensen and Jared were punks and didn't show up at the Upfronts. In fact, no one I was remotely interested in seeing did. Sigh. But I DID randomly run into a college friend there, David, completely out of the blue, so that was hilarious and awesome and he was great.

But of course the best thing is that I had a fucking ROCKING time with Robin, Mel, and Boadie. And it was really great to see Jaida and Dani! I will talk more about it when I'm not practically dead.

And oh god the finale ohgodohgodohgod. I LOVE OUR BOYS THE END. I will also talk more about THAT when I've finished rewatching. *FLAIL FLAIL*

Also YAY SEASON THREE! :)

So... what have I missed? *facepalm*
exsequar: (SN Boys SQUEE!)
HI HI ANOTHER YEAR OF WINCHESTERS YAY YAY THIS GIVES ME GREAT JOY OMG.

And because I can (home alone) I just let out the loudest, most high pitched squee I could muster. OMFGYAY. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WINCHESTERS!!!!!!

*takes deep breaths*

I honestly had no doubts, but official confirmation is great! And the rumors are flying that we might be moving to Sunday! That's pretty awesome. Cross your fingers for awesome ratings, guys! \o/

Thursday MAY MARK THE END OF MY LIFE. I just. Upfronts with a renewal and therefore almost certainly JARED AND JENSEN? Followed shortly thereafter by THE CONCLUSION TO THE BEST SEASON OF TELEVISION YET?? (If I hyperbolize SLIGHTLY, can you blame me???) SEE. DEATH. The third season (SADLFKJSDLFJKDSLK SQUEEEE) may not even matter to me, IF I'M DEAD!

*beams forever*
