And not a link, but something that definitely delights me: I've decided to buy an iPhone 4!! :D I think, anyway. The new one is just SO gorgeous, I couldn't help but be seduced! /o\ I don't even have a smart phone yet - I've still got an old school flip phone, not even a qwerty keyboard. And I do love my phone, but I think it's time for me to get on board the smartphone revolution. I'm on Verizon, so I could be smarter and just get a Droid, but... I really really want an iPhone! /o\ I'm a total Machead, and always will be I think, so it only makes sense. DID I MENTION HOW GORGEOUS IT IS?! I have staaars in my eyyyyes, gah. Having to switch to AT&T sucks, yes, and it will be much more expensive every month, and probably push back my hope of buying a new car, BUT. iPhone! *hands* Also, I'll be able to video call Francisco, because he'll be getting an iPhone 4 as well, and ngl that will be amazing. (He's in Chicago visiting family right now and I miss him already.) A side effect of me making this decision has been that I WANT MY IPHONE *NOW*. I'm all antsy and keep looking at all the gorgeous pictures and stuff! WAAAANTS.

Speaking of Jacob Pitts, I rewatched some of Justified episode 2 today (and right after I tweeted about it, Brian Schechter tweeted only the words "Justified episode 2" - it was creepy) and man, I forgot that Tim (JACOB PITTS) has some really great scenes there! I love the conversation he has with Raylan about watching targets when he was a sniper in Afghanistan. I want more character development like that, and more one-on-one hotass dudes time! C'mon show! Overall, though, I'm REALLY loving Justified. A lot. You should watch it!

So I had a whole bunch of things planned to post about, and then I randomly clicked on a tab in which I've been going back and reading all my Dublin LJ entries. I found one where I talked about Niall, near the end of my time there, and god, it's SO OBVIOUS that I was completely ass-over-teakettle for him, and he was for ME, and we did nothing about it until my last week there. Why do we fail so hard? I don't say this lightly, but - I love him. I do. We've been an ocean apart for two years, yet I feel closer to him than most other people in the universe. We've maintained a beautiful friendship through emails and talking all the time, and he's just - so important to me. I love him. I do. I think I might do something about it this time I'm back in Dublin, because even though we can't really be together, I want him to know how I feel. *decisive nod*

Okay, current things! On Thursday, I was starting a new big experiment I've never done before. And it was my second to last day in the lab. It was a day of total fail - the fire alarm went off twice for no reason, a machine I was using cut out, etc. Long story short, I was in lab until past 11 PM, and ate Cheez-Its for dinner. Awesome. So needless to say, I was exhausted, and the next morning my alarm made nary a dent in my rock-like slumber. I woke up at 2 pm, woozy and confused, and went OH SHIT. I emailed my boss and rushed in. She told me she hadn't laughed like that in a while! Haha. Anyway, it was a great motivator to have such limited time (I had a dinner party to be at at 7:30!) and I got a shitload of science done in a very short time. I got one very exciting result! As in, the first result that made me go "oh wow!" all semester. Better late than never right? :P So that was my last day of experiments. On Monday, I'll give my research presentation, then I'll be done! *hands*

Apparently, I "matched" with four guys from speed dating - three engineers and a computer scientist. Hilarious. All three engineers have emailed me, which is sweet, but I honestly don't really remember which they were, except for one of them, and he's pretty zany. Which can be a good thing, but I don't know. I'm dithering. Anyway, my roomies poked and prodded at me until I just said yes to the one who set a concrete time and place, so we're going for brunch tomorrow! *hands* We'll see. I highly doubt this will turn into anything (these guys, like, embody my problems with Dave multiplied by a billionty, and rather made me miss him, honestly) but it could be, if nothing else, a nice brunch and conversation. Plus, it's at Zingerman's, which is kind of what Ann Arbor's famous for - it's a whole block away from my house and I've NEVER BEEN. So he wins at setting up a date, haha. He might actually be the one who liked Supernatural - I can't remember! That would be fun.

On Friday, Emily and I went to Noah's for dinner with a bunch of his friends, which was fun, and then we all went out. We went to a bar called the Jolly Pumpkin where they distill their own liquors, and I had I had this AMAZING cocktail called a Cran Strawberry which was their in-house cranberry vodka and muddled strawberries and OMNOMNOMNOM. Amazing. And a huge plus, the waiter was SO CUTE I COULD HAVE DIED. He had short curly hair and this really deep, sexy voice and unfffff. I left my number on the receipt because he was so hot I just couldn't NOT, but obviously nothing came of it. No way a guy that looks like that is single, and no way he finds me attractive anyway. :P

Hmm, boy-crazy, ME? And to think I let a perfectly nice one go. /o\ Gah, I don't know. I still wonder if that was right. But then I think about how much more intensely I feel about Niall than I did about Dave, and I probably did. Just that one happens to live in my town and the other is across the ocean. :-/

Lalala, rambling entry is rambling. I'll just put it out of its misery. I really should go to bed, so I can be up and at em for my brunch date. Do you realize that this is kind of my first actual date with a guy that I don't already know quite well, or that I'm not already seeing? Yeah. Guess it's time!

Hi LJ. It is 3 AM. My fingernails are bitten down to the quick. My final assignment for my class is ~done, or as done as it will be. I'm pretty tired. Castle 2x21 tonight was amazing. ESPOSITO OMG. BOYFRIENDS OMG. As this is all I have energy for as far as posting goes, I'm going to leave you with cute boys.

It is Friday! This is Yay! I've had an... interesting week in lab. Science is going semi-okay, though it seems like I NEVER EVER get results that are consistent with each other. NEVER. IN THREE MONTHS. Ughhh what human cells I HATE you. I'm very very ready to be done with these stupid cells and moving on to working with JAAAASON YAY.

I got that group project turned in! THANK FUCK. We also have to give a presentation but it's not graded so what the fuck ever. That asshole did NONE WORK, and the final product had NONE of his work in it, but whatever, that's his problem! Me and the hot dude who did the other bulk of the work might talk to the prof about it, idk. WHATEVER IT'S DONE YAY.

I realized when I was buying my Dublin plane tickets that I had no idea where my passport is. /o\ I noticed when I moved into this apartment that I didn't appear to have it with me. Most likely it's buried in all the shit in my room at my dad's house. But he doesn't seem to be inclined to dig through it, so I just applied for another. Ah well, what's an extra $100 here and there? (Kind of true, for the first time in my life - YAY FOR HAVING A SALARY!) Especially because I'M GOING BACK TO DUBLIN YAY.

TELEVISION. I have thoughts!

Doctor Who - OH MY GOODNESS SO MUCH LOVE. Eleven is charming and delightful and zany and endearing and wide-eyed and sweet and lovely. I want to take him home and feed him fish and custard! And I watched the Confidential and Matt Smith is just a lovely, lovely guy. It's a shame he has such a profoundly bland name, but he is DARLING. He can stay. I enjoyed Amy as well, but for now I kind of preferred young Amy, haha. She has spunk though and the structure of her introduction gives them some really interesting character stuff to work with. I'm VERY excited for this season! :DD

Bones - ( >:( Big spoilers. )

Justified - I've only watched the first two episodes but I really like it! People (*coughrhombalcough*) have been flailing about this, largely because of Jacob Pitts, who's really mostly a minor character, but is also Hoosier in The Pacific, and obviously worth stalking, but what was I saying? Oh yes! Justified! I find it to be a really unique show so far, with its own flavor. I am not familiar with the Western genre at all, but apparently it is borrowing a lot of those tropes? Anyway, I love the mix of drama and wry humor it has, and how it feels just very grounded and human. I'll be very intrigued to see where it goes.

Southland - I've finally arrived! Geez, took me long enough, am I right? I've only made it through four episodes, but oh, Lydia. I love her. She's such a fierce voice in a world that only occasionally listens, but she never stops yelling. She's amazing. And so broken, personally. I just really love her and thought she carried the fourth episode amazingly, despite the lack of Cooper and Ben. :)

In other news, I'm PRETTY FOND of those Chemical Romantics! *chinhaaands* Today Mikey wished Gee happy birthday in the SWEETEST way on Twitter, ugh, he LOVES HIS BIG BRO SO MUUUCH. ♥____♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOU GINORMOUS JERSEY DORK. ILU. NOW GIMME AN ALBUM. ;) The Nylon interview was also great. I love that he and Lyn-Z got all nervous about seeing each other again! THEN THEY GOT MARRIED! They are so MFEO, ugh. And these are REAL PEOPLE! Gives me just a little bit of hope. :) And Mikey talking about JERSEY SHORE! Ahahaha. "You try to explain Jersey and they don't believe you, but now - see?" Ohhhh WAYS.
