one more miracle

Yay for Germany! That was a nice balm to the bitter disappointment of the semifinal. They played wonderfully, with crisp passing and lots of dangerous chances. Schweinsteiger was on FIRE! Those two goals were almost exactly alike, and both were stunning! Fantastic! He totally wasn't on my radar before. I think Lahm has to be my favorite player on the team - he's an INCREDIBLE defender, always making these perfect clean tackles that just make my jaw drop. And he had a great chance fora goal too! He just seems to be EVERYWHERE on the field, plus he's so tiny and wee, I adore him :D I was upset that Ballack wasn't playing though, that was disappointing, though I understand they couldn't risk hurting him more just for a third place game. And they pulled it off without him! Frings put on a great performance out there anyway, so that was fun.

I'm really glad Germany beat Portugal. Portugal just annoys me - they're such a bitchy team, always complaining about calls, or the lack thereof, especially Cristiano Ronaldo! Oy.

The France vs. Brazil game today was AWESOME. I had so much fun watching it. France has ended up being the team I've watched the most this world cup (this was the third game of theirs I've seen, and I haven't seen many since I can only watch on the weekends) and I'm really developing affection for them. Zidane rocks my socks, and he totally kicked ass today. Henry wasn't really impressing me earlier, but then he got that great goal today, and PLUS he is the most adorable celebrator. He gets so excited! *hearts* Ribery is really talented, he's so fun to watch. Makelele has the coolest name EVER. And yeah. So I just thought they really deserved to win, and I'm glad they did.

So my boss was teaching me about the new kind of experiment and data collection I'm doing now, and he said, "You know you're doing a presentation at the end of the summer, right?"

I just blinked, laughed and said, "Yeah, kinda!"

I kind of knew that, but he had never mentioned it before so it was kinda in the back of my head - well, it's not anymore! I'm vaguely petrified. I have to do a Powerpoint slideshow with graphs and hypotheses and conclusions and everything. O.O

On the bright side, I got my first paycheck yesterday \o/

My Supernatural music vid is coming along apace! Just sent the first minute to my beta, waiting to see what she has to say :)

I've been watching as much of the World cup as I can - soccer is such a fun sport to watch. The Portugal-Netherlands game on Sunday was INSANE, absolutely insane. And then today I watched Spain-France, which my uncle taped for me - that was a great game! Both teams made a good showing, and it was tied up for a good long while, which kept the tension high. That last goal by Zidane was STUNNING. :D And I loved all the after game celebrations, hee. Yay soccer!
