I have a new header! :D

It's of the most beautiful couple on television, Tim and Lyla of Friday Night Lights. I didn't used to be terribly fond of miss Lyla, but now she's definitely one of my favorite characters on the show, and she and Tim complement each other gorgeously. I also changed my journal title and stuff to Mandy Moore lyrics. I'm so obsessed with her Wild Hope album and I can't wait for Amanda Leigh! Random note regarding the title of this post - that's a lyric from a song called Most Of Me, and I think it's the only verbal use of the strike through I've ever heard! I always imagine it like this: "You still get allmost of me." It's quite clever!

Speaking of Timmy and Lyla, does anyone know where I can find the picture in my icon? It's the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen but I've never seen the fullsize!

In conclusion, if you're not watching Friday Night Lights, you're a crazy person. <3

ETA: So I just binged on Minka Kelly (Lyla) photos because she's so ridiculously stunning, and I've found photos of her with the most random people, including Kristen Bell and Zac Efron and Piper Perabo. But the icing on the cake is that I just found a photo of Minka and Mandy Moore! Clearly this header was karmically meant to be :D They look to be having a totally adorable conversation too. &Minka;!! I totally have a girlcrush on her!

I just made brownies! Besides being delicious, this has the wonderful effect of making my whole apartment smell like chocolate. Mmmmmm.

Today ended up being good! I won't go into all the nerdy chemistry details, but I was having a LOT of trouble with a reaction, and I think we figured out what the problem was! One of the materials was very old and had decomposed, so it was a dark yellow liquid with crystals. I purified it into a beautiful, perfectly clear liquid, and I am so excited to use it tomorrow and see if it makes everything work. FINGERS CROSSED!

Well crap. I just saw that mcr-pics.com took down all of its HQ photoshoots. What a total bummer, I always go there when I'm making graphics. I don't bother to save them all because they're so big, but now I wish I had. Rar :( Does anyone know of a good alternative anywhere? Or does anyone have any HQ images saved from the street urchin photoshoot? The one this picture is from. I have an HQ shot of Frankie from that shoot but no HQ of Gee or anything :(

I just added three headers to my rotation! I'm super proud of this one of Greta, and I made another of Dublin at night and one of Frank and Gee the street urchins. I am most pleased :D Rotating headers are fun! I now have three headers of Gerard at three of his most radically different stages: professor!Gerard (tousled hair, coffee and a cigarette), Black Parade!Gerard (bleached blonde, heavy eyeliner), and undead!Gerard (bruised eyes, straggly black hair). I love all of them EQUALLY. ♥_♥

I also edited my journal name, subtitle, everything to be lyrics from the Hushies' Hurricane. I love that song.

I also made some new icons! Frank and Jamia being dorkfaces, Frank and Gerard being dorkfaces, Frank's multicolored arm, Frank being a sexass on stage... are we sensing a trend? That makes 18 icons containing Frank. Sigh. There's also Rodney and the ORANGE FLEECE OF JOY \o/ And also Darren's precious face. Boys! <3

I've been meaning to do this for weeeeeks, but I finally got off my ass and did it.

I've wanted an MCR header for ages. I loved my Panic! one, but it's been pretty clear that MCR is first in my heart for a while now. I just didn't know what picture! But in the end it inevitably came down to this one, my favorite MCR picture for a few reasons. 1) They are all (except Bob) in the asymmetrical zip-up Jacket of Joy, which is my favorite bandom piece of clothing ever (no I don't know why!) and I always squee when I see Mikeyway in it (and occasionally Frank). So when I found out that they all wore it? WELL. <33333 2) The sunglasses! SUCH COOL KIDS. 3) They're not looking at the camera, which I love. It feels a bit more natural. 4) Frankie's Skeleton Crew t-shirt ♥ 5) The coloring and composition. The sky broad and blue above them, the vivid buildings behind them. 6) IT'S THEM. <3333

I still love my layout though, so this is literally just slapping a new header on top. The coloring happily works out so that I can even leave the light blue, which I love.

Lyrics are from "Thank You for the Venom," obviously, which I have been incredibly addicted to lately.

While I was in conversation with iamsupernova in the comments for the weemo_closet hottest bandboy poll (TEAM IERO!), the subject of shirtless Frankie was raised. In going through my collection, I found a ridiculous dearth of images of this phenomenon (seriously, MCR is like a band of freaking nuns - take them clothes off sometimes, boys! ...please?) but I did find several tantalizing pictures of Frankie's HIPS making a bid for freedom between his shirt and pants. So, a minispam!

( I still can't get over the fact that the sparrows are Gee and Frankie )

Yay new layout! *beams* Right now it's just a basic layout directly from coding by refuted (and a gorgeous layout it is!) but I have plans to make a Panic! header and possibly change the color scheme. But for now I think it looks lovely! I always get tired of dark layouts, so this is a wonderful refreshing change from the last one. Sorry, Danny and Rusty my loves! You are not forgotten! But it is time to move on. :)

What I find funny - in the tag cloud on the sidebar, I have about a TRILLION (I need to have more of a system, I know) and most of them are tiny, with a few (like college) being a bit more prominent, but then SUPERNATURAL is SO HUGE it can't even FIT in the sidebar!!! I find this hilarious. Oh me.

But yes! Go see the shiny! All the new words (journal title, subtitle, comment links, mood and music) are lyrics from Panic!'s song Camisado, because it pwns me. Oh Ryan Ross.

I can't seem to force myself to go to bed without some kind of closure. It's weird, I know, but it's all part of my own sleep-depriving procrastination tactics. Sometimes it's watching that moment I'm obsessing over one more time; sometimes it's reading the perfect little ficlet that will send me to bed smiling; sometimes it's wrapping up a fun conversation with a friend. None of those seem to be working tonight, so I'm going to make a post!

I watched Ocean's 11 about two and a half times today. Once straight, once with commentary, and then again to make caps of Danny and Rusty, and also just to rewatch some of their glorious scenes from the beginning. That poker scene, with the TV star kids? Oh my god. PERFECTION!

Then tonight I watched most of Fight Club. Want to know something funny? The Playstation that functions as a DVD player in our living room wouldn't play Fight Club because of the parental settings on the system! LOL. It played Flags of our Fathers (a horrifying and perfectly done movie, by the way) but not Fight Club. How silly.

But anyway, I just. BRAD! *flails a little bit* There's nothing that can be said about Fight Club that hasn't already been said 80 billion times, but there are just so many perfect lines, perfect moments, and watching when you know the twist is actually really cool, because you pay attention to all the subtle clues leading up to it. What an awesome, awesome movie. And did I mention - BRAD! *bites knuckles*

I'm thinking about going to see OotP in IMAX when it comes out! It's playing 45 minutes away, which really isn't that bad, and it's 11 bucks, which is only 2 dollars more than the normal theater - and for OOTP, totally worth it. I watched some TV spots for the movie last night that I'd missed, and OH MY GOD. I can't WAAAAIT. Remus!!!!! He's looking so gorgeous, and his voice, his weary gravelly voice... meep. Moony!! And Sirius!!! Oh my puppies. This movie is gonna make me flail for joy and then KILL ME. I can't wait :D

I really, really love the name Danny. And not just because of Danny Ocean :P I'm thinking I'm pretty much set on naming a future son of mine Daniel, after my father's father, and we will definitely be calling him Danny. Aw. Yay :) I love the name because it's very cute for a young boy, but it can also work well for a respectable man, if he has the right self-confidence and comfort in himself. You know? I don't know what I'm rambling about. I just love it.

Ummmm. I went shopping with Fei today, it was fun :) I was very restrained and only bought a pair of jean capris and a pretty brown shirt to go with my gorgeous flowery skirt. She got everything she needed to (bathing suit, flats, jean skirt) and so all in all it was a very successful morning at the mall. Yay!

I updated my sidebar, to make it more current. Removed and added some icons, and in the interests section I took out a couple of old ones and inserted Danny and Rusty, the Taylors (FNL), John and Aeryn, and made a new one for Rodney and John. Pretty people, whee!

Okay. That's enough of my ramblings. Off I go to bed, a half hour later than I intended! Pretty damn good! \o/
